Close to Children on Holidays

CHISINAU, April 13, 2012 — Minister of Defense, Vitalie Marinuta, along with Guard Battalion servicemen, made Friday, April 13, Easter gifts to children of the Children Rehabilitation and Day Care Center from Chisinau.

On the Easter Eve, Vitalie Marinuta, Brigadier Gen. Igor Cutie and the servicemen of the Guard Battalion, brought Easter cakes, sweets and toys for the children. The Minister of Defense stated, “On the eve of Easter, it has become a good tradition for us, National Army servicemen, to support the children of this day care center. We decided to make them a surprise and bring them our joy, love and friendship. I wish them peace, warmth and all the best in the world,” the Defense Minister stated.

Maria Tarus, Headmistress of the Children Rehabilitation and Day Care Center, thanked the National Army servicemen for the gifts showing them, along with the children of the institution, an interesting concert of poems and dances.

“The National Army servicemen’s initiative is always welcome. All the children deserve to be happy on the Eve of Easter and I would like to thank them for this kind act. They brought us joy and our children are happier. Thank you for your help and care, because this gives us the power and faith to look after and educate the children of our institution,” the director of the Center, Maria Tarus, stated.

The Rehabilitation and Day Care Center has got about 180 orphan children or kids abandoned at the age of one week old to 6 years old.
