CSCA Sportswoman Wins Silver in China



CHISINAU, May 4, 2012 — The sportswoman of the Central Sports Club of the Army (CSCA), Svetlana Saenco, won the silver medal at the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Taiyuan, China.

According to the Head of CSCA, Victor Belevici, the 29-year-old female freestyle wrestler won the second place performing at the 72 kg category. Thus, she automatically qualified for the London Olympic Games.

Wrestler Svetlana Saenco got the 12 qualification ticket for the Republic of Moldova delegation at this year London Olympic Games.

Svetlana Saenco was born in Sumi, Ukraine. She is a Master of Olympic and professional sports. She started practicing freestyle wrestling in 1999. Beginning with 2001, she performed for the Ukrainian National Wrestling Team. She is a triple European Vice-champion in Freestyle Wrestling. She is also the holder of the golden medal at China World Cup.

There are about 200 young people trained within CSCA in different sports areas. The mission of the Central Sports Club of the Army (CSCA) is to develop genre of military technical sports for youth, servicemen and high performance sportsmen.
