National Army Marks Doctors and Pharmacist DayCHISINAU, June 15, 2012 — Minister of Defense Vitalie Marinuta congratulated the medical personnel of the National Army on the Doctor and Pharmacist Day during a ceremony held June 15 at the Center of Military History and Culture. “Let me congratulate you for the excellent job you do in the hospital, in military units and military training grounds. You are always committed, brave and responsible in serving the military medicine area, assuming the role of treating patients, from soldier to general”, Vitalie Marinuta said. The Minister of Defense awarded some military distinctions, diplomas of merit and offered precious gifts to some health care personnel representatives as a sign of high gratitude and appreciation for their achievements in the National Army. The folk music band “Doina Armatei” concluded the event with a concert dedicated to all those that improve military and civil employees’ health condition. The National Army currently has five curative-prophylactic and sanitary-epidemiological institutions and over 600 health employees. Every military unit has got a medical office with five-six doctors and nurses each.
