Best Soldiers of the National Army Discharged



CHISINAU, October 2, 2012 — The best soldiers enlisted last autumn to the National Army and that completed their service were discharged during a solemn ceremony held at Military Compound No.142 of Chisinau.

Brigadier Gen. Igor Cutie, Director of the National Army Main Staff, awarded diplomas of honor and gifts to 70 soldiers that have recorded great results at combat readiness training and had an exemplary behavior and discipline while in the army.

Brigadier Gen. Cutie stated the National Army has a major role in the civic education of the young generation in our country. The army is the school meant to train young men for defending their country. “I am confident that by recording great results throughout a year of service, you will become a model for those who are to fulfill their constitutional duty of defending the sovereignty of the Republic of Moldova”, Gen. Cutie said.

According to the chief of Personnel Directorate, Col. Eduard Ohladciuc, 500 soldiers more will complete their service and will be discharged until November. The new contingent of recruits will be enlisted being with October 29.

Military conscription is held four times a year. The military service in the Armed Forces lasts 12 months.
