Two Decades of Performance for Moldovan Military Signal Officers



Chisinau, October 16, 2012 — The Chief of Main Staff, Commander of the National Army, Brigadier Gen. Vitalie Stoian, attended the 20th anniversary ceremony of the Computer and Communications Center (CCC) held at the Ministry of Defense.

Brigadier Gen. Vitalie Stoian appreciated the performances of the unit staff in carrying out the mission of insuring the efficient communication between the National Army units and the senior staff. “The prompt evolution in the information technology system and the need to be interoperable with the foreign partners encouraged the training of the Moldovan service members in term of implementation of modern technologies in the Moldovan army”, the Commander of the National Army said.

In his turn, the interim commander of CCC, Maj. Igor Bucatari, stated the human factor is crucial in achieving the goals and carrying out the tasks established for the unit he is the leader of. Hence, the ongoing training of personnel within national and international missions, as well as studies in the information technology area is a priority for this unit. “We are very glad our signal officers’ success has been highly appreciated during multinational exercises. This proves the personnel’s professionalism in the communications area”, Bucatari specified.

During the event, a few service members were awarded the Medal for Excellent Service and diplomas of honor, as well as gifts.
