Army Service Members Take Professional Evaluation Tests

Chisinau, November 1, 2012 — The National Army service members’ professional level was tested with the final evaluation held October 15-31.

According to Col. Oleg Ciulcov, Chief of Joint Training and Doctrine Directorate of National Army Main Staff, the contracted staff has passed tests on general tactics, operative-tactical training, Military Regulations, physical training and others.

“This year, special attention has been paid to the improvement of drilling, with a focus on the new marching approved in the National army. Also, there were some new tests included in the physical training test. Thus, service members were tested at 100 m and 3000 m distance running, push-ups and abdominal exercises”, Col. Ciulcov said.

At the same time, this autumn, a new element was introduced for commanders of military units and military-territorial centers — military-protocol activity.

The Chief of Joint Training and Doctrine said that such evaluations are held twice a year and are designed to appreciate the service members’ preparedness level. “Usually, the professional evaluation is carried out in May and October and the staff’s results help us evaluate their capacities, which is an important factor in the rank and position promotion within the National Army”, Col. Ciulcov stated.

Col. Oleg Ciulcov also pointed out that, as compared to the previous years, all the results, including the shooting the TT gun tests, are much better, which shows service members’ seriousness and high professional self-development capacity.
