National Army’s Commander in BrusselsChisinau, January 16th 2013 — the Chief of the Main Staff, National Army Commander, General Brigadier Vitalie Stoian, participates on January 16-17th at the meeting of the NATO Military Committee, General Staffs heads format of allies and partners, held at the NATO General headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. The conference agenda deals with recent geostrategic developments, latest changes and new initiatives launched within NATO and “Partnership for Peace” program (PfP). The participants can exchange views, experiences and visions in security and defense domain during the meetings. According to Colonel Ilie Cernenchi, the Chief of strategic planning of the Main Staff of the National Army, Euro-Atlantic partnership meets annually to discuss issues related to regional and international security and safety, which is NATO’s area of responsibility. Cernenchi said that during his stay in Brussels, National Army Commander will meet with his PfP counterparts in which will dicuss some aspects of bilateral military cooperation.
