Graduation Certificates for Peacekeepers
CHISINAU, March 5, 2013 — 22 National Army service members and representatives of the Ministry of Interior, received the graduation certificates of the Peacekeepers Training Course for Missions in the Security Area of the Republic of Moldova.
The director of the National Army Main Staff, Brigadier Gen. Igor Cutie, said that maintaining peace in the Easter districts of the country is one of the critical missions of the state, meant to insure security of population in the region. Hence, the strict selection of service members to do their service in the security area and their training in compliance with international standards is a core priority of the National Army leadership.
The service members were trained by OSCE representatives to Republic of Moldova, members of the Joint Control Commission, professors, NGO experts and officers that have previously participated in UN-led international missions. “In this way, we wanted the best experts to give you full information about the issue. Only by being very well-trained you will be able to fulfill your duties at a high level”, Gen. Cutie said.
