Vitalie Marinuta Attends European Security Conference



MOSCOW, May 23, 2013 — Acting Defense Minister, Vitalie Marinuta, attend the international conference held within May 22-24, in Moscow, Russia.

The event brought together Defense ministers and representatives of defense institutions from over 50 countries, including USA and Canada, NATO, OSCE and EU officials, as well as other international organizations.

The conference is held second year in a row and aims at identifying European security issues and developing new patterns to maintain it.

According to participants in the international forum, new ideas in European security area could increase effectiveness of joint struggle against latest challenges and threats.

During the conference, Vitalie Marinuta discussed with his foreign counterparts, as well as officials from different international organizations, some aspects of bilateral cooperation, including participation of Moldovan defense institution in different European security programs and projects.

In Moscow, Defense Minister Vitalie Marinuta will meet with the leader of Russian defense institution, Sergey Shoygu.
