National Army Units Checked by Foreign Experts

Chisinau, September 12, 2013 — A group of inspectors from Germany, Estonia and Latvia will be checking the military units of the Republic of Moldova during September 10-13, in compliance with Vienna Document 2011.

According to Col. Grigore Chirica, interim Head of Strategic Planning Division, the activit aims at inspecting the way Republic of Moldova meets its goals highlighted in 2011 Vienna Document, which is one of the main tools of the military-political approach of the international cooperation.

The quoted source also specified that, according to the Document, all the military units and facilities of the host country must be inspected by the experts. Thus, the members of the foreign team intended to check the military facilities from the Eastern part of the Republic of Moldova too, but the so-called authorities of the Transnistrian region prohibited their access to this area.

This is the forth group of inspectors to inspect this year the military units of the Republic of Moldova in compliance with Vienna Document.
