President of Republic of Moldova, Nicolae Timofti, Inspects Military Units from Balti



Chisinau, September 26, 2013 — President of Republic of Moldova, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Nicolae Timofti, inspected Balti garrison, including "Moldova" Brigade, Military Territorial Center of Balti, and the Central Military Clinic from Balti.

In "Moldova" Brigade, President Timofti familiarized with the technical equipment and weapons of the unit, accommodation and work conditions of the military, as well as the activity of the linguistic laboratory.

During his visit to "Moldova" Brigade, the head of state discussed with conscripts about the training and service process in the unit. “The situation in the army is a core priority for me, as a Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. Therefore, it is important to know from the first source how the defense institution works”, Nicolae Timofti said. The head of state specified that the visit to "Moldova" Brigade is one of the units to be inspected in order to identify some solutions to the existent problems.

In Balti, President Nicolae Timofti also followed the training process of Armed Forces reserve, conducted by the Ministry of Defense this week, in a few military centers, including in Balti.
