Moldovan-Romanian Artillery Exercise


Chisinau, October 7, 2013 — A National Army platoon participates in the Moldovan-Romanian artillery exercise, within October 6-12, at the Land Forces Combat Training Center of Cincu, Fagaras, Romania.

According to the Head of the Moldovan contingent, LTC Sergiu Railean, the National Army deployed to the bilateral exercise about 20 servicemembers of the 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion, that will train at shooting 120 mm bomb throwers, jointly with the Romanian military of the 300th Battalion from Galati.

The source specified that this exercise is based on the 2013 bilateral cooperation plan signed between the Moldovan and Romanian Ministries of Defense. The main goal of the Moldovan-Romanian exercise is to exchange experience and acquire good practical shooting skills.
