CSCA Sportsmen Win Seven Gold Medals at Shooting Championship


CHISINAU, October 28, 2013 — The representatives of the Central Sports Club of the Army (CSCA) won seven gold, six silver and two bronze medals at the National Shooting Championship, held within October 25-27, in Chisinau.

According to the Head of CSCA, Col. Andrei Catlabuga, sportsmen Andrei Alferin and Ion Aric won the highest score among youth at the competition. They won three gold medals at 5,6 mm and 4,5 mm guns categories. Two other gold medals were awarded to Ecaterina Raileanu and Stanislav Dodon at 4.5 mm weapon category.

The source specified that, Diana Negreba and Tatiana Grigorascenco won the first place at 4.5 mm weapon category for seniors.

The Head of CSCA stated that, according to the final score, six other sportsmen won the second place at all the categories of the competition. Also, two representatives of the Club won the bronze medals at 4.5 mm gun and 4.5 mm weapon categories.

The National Shooting Championship, conducted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, brought together 40 sportsmen from sports institutions of the country. The Central Sports Club of the Army was represented by 20 sportsmen at this event.
