Deputy Defense Minister Ana Vasilachi Visits Cahul Garrison



Chisinau, November 12, 2013 — Deputy Defense Minister, Ana Vasilachi, visited today Brigade “Dacia”, where she met with 300 soldiers recently conscripted to military service.

Ana Vasilachi familiarized with the daily activity of the unit personnel, army life, the development of soldier’s basic military training. Much attention was paid to the young soldiers’ adjustment to army life and to the work of military psychologists on analyzing the personnel’s psychological condition and providing the necessary assistance in the soldiers’ adjustment to military regulations.

At the Military Territorial Center of Cahul, the Deputy Defense Minister discussed with the personnel the cooperation among institution specialists and public local administration on conscription and pointed out the need to improve medical and psychological examination of recruits.

While in Cahul garrison, the Deputy Minister of Defense also participated in 60th anniversary ceremony of the special boarding school for children with hearing impairments, sposored by the Ministry of Defense since 2001. Ana Vasilachi congratulated the pupils and the teaching staff on the event and offered them sweets and a gift on behalf of the military institution.

The Deputy Defense Minister appreciated the efficient activity and careful attitude of teachers in educating children with hearing disabilities of the institution. “For more than a decade, the Ministry of Defense and Brigade ‘Dacia’ from Cahul in particular, supports, through concrete actions, your efforts to give your disciples both, knowledge and affection, understanding and, maybe the most important, the feeling that they are not alone and they play an important role in the future of this country”, Ana Vasilachi stated.
