CSCA Sportsmen Win 19 Medals at Shooting Championship



CHISINAU, November 25, 2013 — The representatives of the Central Sports Club of the Army (CSCA) won 19 medals at the Open Shooting Championship held within November 22-24, at CSCA HQ.

According to the Head of CSCA, Col. Andrei Catlabuga, on behalf of the Club, 24 sportsmen competed in the event. 19 of them won medals.

Thus, at gun category, five CSCA members — Anastasia Nichiforciuc, Ion Aric, Iulia Brighidov, Iurie Stamatin and Diana Negreba — won the highest score among juniors, youth and seniors.

At weapon category, sportsmen Constantin Oglinda and Anastasia Jiritcaia won the first place among juniors. Ecaterina Railean and Vladislav Bejenari have become leaders according to the score gained at the same category among youth.

The source specified that ten other target shooters of the Club were awarded silver and bronze medals at the contest categories.

CSCA’s Open Shooting Championship is a yearly event that started in 2008.

This year, the competition brought together 47 sportsmen from Moldovan and foreign sports institutions.
