Moldovan Servicemembers Attend “Logistics 2014" Multinational Exercise



Chisinau, December 12, 2013 — A group of National Army servicemembers attend the "Logstics 2014 “(LOGEX 14) multinational exercise, held within December 2-13, at the Finnish Defence Forces International Centre (FINCENT).

According to Deputy Chief of National Army Main Staff for Resource Management, Col. Andrei Sarban, the goal of the exercise “Host Nation Support” is the improvement of interoperability among participants in planning, implementing, supporting, deploying and redploying troops, carrying out logistic support missions in a multinational environment.

The personnel training focuses on methods of development and implementation of multinational and bilateral agreements, as well as the employment of NATO’s and partner states’ logistic assets.

The quoted source added that the National Army deployed, for the first time,at the exercise, four logistics experts. “The logistics personnel training, in compliance with the planning and execution procedures, necessary for multinational logistics support and host nation support (NHS), is one of the goals of the National Army’s logistics system. Therefore, we decided to participate at this exercise and gather more experience”, Col. Sarban mentioned.

LOGEX-14 exercise is attended by 46 servicemembers from 24 countries, including Finland, Moldova, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Georgia, Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia.
