Warrant Officer Svetlana Saenco Wins Gold in France
Chisinau, February 11, 2014 — The representative of the Central Sports Club of the Army (CSCA), Svetlana Saenco, won the gold medal at the Final “Golden Grand Prix” international tournament, held in Paris, France.
According to coach Victor Peicov, the freestyle wrestler Svetlana Saenco, warrant officer of the National Army, has played two matches in the tournament, at the 69 kg category, and defeated the Italian wrestler Dama Canevaand and the sportswoman from Israel, Ilana Kratysh.
The quoted source specified that, this year, the wrestler will also compete in two other stages of the “Golden Grand Prix” international tournament, that will be held in Turkey and Afghanistan.
The sportswoman Svetlana Saenco is a Master of olympic and professional sports. She started practicing freestyle wrestling in 1999. Beginning with 2001, she competed at national and international sports events. She is a triple European Vice-champion in Freestyle Wrestling. She is also the holder of the gold medal at China World Cup.
Last year, the female wrestler performed at various international competitions in Germany, Ukraine and Belarus, where she won silver and bronze medals.
