Moldovan-Polish Meeting at Ministry of DefenseChisinau, April 10, 2014 — Minister of Defense, Valeriu Troenco, met with the Polish ambassador in Republic of Moldova, Artur Michalski,. The event was attended by the Chief of Main Staff, Commander of the National Army, Col. Igor Gorgan, and the Polish military attaché in our country, Col. Jan Mysczunski. The bilateral cooperation between Republic of Moldova and Poland in the defense area and the identification of new areas to support the National Army were the main issues discussed at the meeting. Valeriu Troenco thanked ambassador Artur Michalski for the support provided by Poland to the National Army and defense and security sector. The Minister of Defense also appreciated the Polish support in the Republic of Moldova’s European goal. Artur Michalski stated that Poland will keep supporting the development and reform of the National Army through concrete actions. The Moldovan-Polish cooperation Agreement was signed on October 27, 1998, in Warsaw.
