France Appoints New Defense Attaché to Republic of Moldova



Chisinau, August 11, 2014 — Charge d’affaires of the Embassy of France to Republic of Moldova, Jeremie Petit, introduced today the new defense attaché of France to Republic of Moldova, based in Kiev, LTC Christophe Midan, to Deputy Defense Minister, Aurel Fondos.

Aurel Fondos congratulated LTC Christophe Midan on his assignment and wished him success in his mandate. The Deputy Defense Minister expressed his confidence that the Moldovan — French cooperation would enhance through ongoing training and expertise projects in prior areas for the National Army.

Col. Midan said that holding the position of French defense attaché to Republic of Moldova is a privilege for him. The official added that his country would keep providing support to help cover the Moldovan Army’s needs.

Also today, the French officials donated a set of military uniform to the National Army Museum.
