National Army Center of Communications and Informatics Marks 22nd AnniversaryChisinau, October 16, 2014 — The National Army Center of Communications and Informatics (CCI) celebrated today its 22nd anniversary. Chief of Main Staff, National Army Commander, Brigadier Gen. Igor Gorgan, appreciated the performances of the unit personnel and stated that, due to the successful activity of the unit, innovations in Information Technology area contribute to building a modern and mobile army. Commander of CCI, LTC Igor Bucatari, said that human factor is crucial in achieving goals and carrying out tasks.Therefore, the ongoing training of personnel within national and international exercises, as well as within specialized courses, is a priority for this unit. During the event, a group of servicemembers of the unit were awarded the “Good Conduct Cross in the National Army”, class III, and diplomas of honor. Center of Communications and Informatics was established on October 16, 1992.
