CSCA sportsmen place 90th and 113th at the World Biathlon Championship in Khanty-Mansiysk



CHISINAU, March 10, 2011 - Moldavian biathlete Alexandra Camenscic, member of the Central Sports Club of the National Army, placed 90th at the 15 km individual race of World Biathlon Championship held in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia.

The head of CSCA, Victor Belevici, stated Alexandra Camenscic had timed 1 hour 5 minutes and 4 seconds, which is by 17 minutes and 56 seconds later than the winner of the race, the Swedish Helena Ekholom. The German biathlete Tina Bachmann won the second place and the Ukrainian Vita Semerenko was the third to finish the competition. The championship brought together 101 sportswomen. Only 93 reached the final stage.

According to the quoted source, the CSCA sportswoman also took part in the sprint race where she won the last place, 102nd, timing 30:12.7.

Victor Pinzaru is another CSCA member, representing Moldova at this World Championship. He placed 113th of 123 biathletes engaged in the 20 km distance race competition. Pinzaru crossed the 20 km distance in one hour, 3 minutes and 37 seconds, which is by 15 minutes and 7 seconds later than the winner Tarjei Boe from Norway. CSCA sportsman missed 5 targets of 20 attempts and got 5 minute penalty.
