National Army staff and Chisinau Mayoralty clean Valea Trandafirilor Park

CHISINAU, March 19, 2011 - Over 100 National Army servicemen cleaned Saturday, March 19, Valea Trandafirilor Park from Botanica sector of Chisinau.

Thus, the National Army fulfilled the initiative of Chisinau authorities and the team “Hai, Moldova!” (Go, Moldova!) on one-day cleanup to precede the National Cleanup Day marked April 16.

National Army servicemen were given spades, rakes and scoops. They raked the dry leaves, loaded and transported the garbage.

The Chief of Land Force Command, Brigadier Gen. Igor Cutie, stated Chisinau Town should be always clean and citizens living here should take care of that.

„Chisinau is our house that deserves all our attention. We want our town to be clean, that’s why the National Army, in common with Chisinau Mayoralty, will do its best to change Chisinau for better, mainly focusing on Valea Trandafirilor Park”, Gen. Igor Cutie stated during the clean-up action.

On April 16, the National Cleanup Day, the National Army will contribute nearly 2000 servicemen to cleanup activities.
