Deputy Defense Minister, Alexandru Cimbriciuc, Presented to the National Army Staff



CHISINAU, March 12, 2015 — Minister of Defense, Viorel Cibotaru, presented today the new Deputy Defense Minister, Alexandru Cimbriciuc, to the National Army Commanding Officer Corps.

Viorel Cibotaru stated that Alexandru Cimbriciuc is known in the military sector, also due to his activity in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, in the Committee for National Security, Defense and Public Order. “The new Deputy Defense Minister has a solid legal education and I am confident that together we will fulfill our mission, thus, achieving all the established goals”, said the Minister of Defense.

Alexandru Cimbriciuc thanked for the trust and specified that he counts on the support of the entire commanding staff of the National Army in order to implement the reformation of the security sector.

Deputy Minister Cimbriciuc is a Master graduate of Law, Political Science, and Public Administration. Within 2009-2014, he was a MP, Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, member of the Committee for National Security, Defense and Public Order, Head of the Public Order Sub-committee.

President of the Republic of Moldova, Nicolae Timofti, signed the Decree on Mr. Alexandru Cimbriciuc’s appointment as Deputy Defense Minister on March 12, 2015. The Decree, based on art. 87. (1) and art.94 (1) of the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova and art. 25. (2) lett. (i) of the Law on National Defense, comes into force upon the signature day.
