Moldovan-Swedish Meeting at the Ministry of Defense

CHISINAU, May 18, 2015 — Minister of Defense, Viorel Cibotaru, met today with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Republic of Moldova, Ingrid Tersman, at the institution HQ.

The officials discussed about the current stage of bilateral military cooperation. They also mentioned that the participation of Moldovan and Swedish servicemembers in joint activities within international exercises and missions aims to increase troops’ interoperability and professionalism.

Also, Viorel Cibotaru and Ingrid Tersman talked about indentifying and expanding the fields of cooperation between Republic of Moldova and Sweden.

So far, Sweden offered Republic of Moldova assistance in professional training of servicemembers, in logistics, as well as expertise in defense capacity building.
