Moldovan-American Shooting Drills in Balti (video)



 

CHISINAU, July 16, 2015 — About 100 servicemembers from National Army and US Army, participating at the multinational exercise “Joint Effort 2015”, carried out night shooting drills at the Military Training Center of “Moldova” Brigade from Balti.

The event was attended by Chief of Main Staff, National Army Commander, Brigadier Gen. Igor Gorgan, and North Carolina National Guard Commander, Maj. Gen. Gregory Lusk.

The two officials met with the military staff and inspected the training sites. They also observed the shooting drills carried out by the servicemembers from the 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion Mortar Battery, together with their NCNG colleagues.

According to Commander of the exercise, Col. Veaceslav Rusu, the servicemembers used 120 mm bomb launchers of both, the National Army and the US Army, shooting at 900 m distance.

Brigadier Gen. Igor Gorgan and Maj. Gen. Gregory Lusk appreciated the readiness of the units and the performance of night shooting drills which require intensive training, precision, and professionalism. The officials mentioned that both, Moldovan and American servicemembers proved maximum interoperability in carrying out their missions.
