Minister of Defense of Republic of Moldova and Minister of National Defense of Romania Sign a Technical Agreement on Military StandardizationCHISINAU, September 22, 2015 — Minister of Defense of Republic of Moldova, Anatol Salaru, and Minister of National Defense of Romania, Mircea Dusa, signed an “Agreement on technical cooperation in the field of military standardization between the Ministry of National Defense of Romania and the Ministry of Defense of Republic of Moldova”. The document was signed during the joint meeting of the Governments of Republic of Moldova and Romania held on September 22, in Constanta, Romania. The project aims to establish, maintain and strengthen the bilateral cooperation framework for the reformation and modernization of both countries’ armies, in agreement with NATO and EU standardization policies. The cooperation, based on active partnership, regards exchanging experience on military standardization, offering assistance in legislative framework regulation, and participation in joint military standardization actions. The project of the Technical Agreement was developed following the Agreement on military cooperation between the Government of Republic of Moldova and Government of Romania signed on April 20, 2012, in Chisinau.
