“Credinta Patriei” Order Awarded to “Moldova” Brigade



CHISINAU, September 25, 2015 — “Moldova” Brigade from Balti was awarded the state order “Credinta Patriei” (Loyalty to Motherland), 1st class, on September 25. Minister of Defense, Anatol Salaru, handed the order during an official ceremony held on the territory of the unit.

The event brought together the Adviser to the President on National Defense and Security, Secretary of the Supreme Security Council, Alexei Barbaneagra, the National Army leadership, military attaches to Republic of Moldova, as well as National Army veterans.

Alexei Barbaneagra congratulated the Brigade on behalf of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces mentioning that the “Credinta Patriei” order is a gratitude tribute for prodigious activity and outstanding merits of the servicemembers during constitutional missions and for ensuring a high level of training of the units.

Minister of Defense, Anatol Salaru, thanked the soldiers of the “Moldova” Brigade for professionalism and commitment in fulfilling the missions given by their commanders. “You fought for the independence of the Republic of Moldova, you showed patriotism and courage during the entire military activity. We are proud of your results at different exercises and international peacekeeping missions”, stated Minister Salaru.

During the ceremony, the first Commander of “Moldova” Brigade, retired colonel Leonid Carasiov, was awarded the order “Credinta Patriei”, 1st class.

At the end of the event, the servicemembers of the unit demonstrated wrestling exercises, and the military orchestra presented an instrumental music program.

“Moldova” Brigade was established on April 10, 1992.
