Safe Transportation of Ammunition Studied at Ministry of DefenseCHISINAU, April 21, 2016 — Representatives of Moldova’s force structures are attending the course on safe transportation of ammunition, organized by the Ministry of Defense in cooperation with OSCE Mission in the Republic of Moldova, within April According to Head of Weapons and Military Vehicles Management Department of the Logistics Directorate, LTC Andrei Camerzan, during the course, the officers and NCOs from the National Army, Ministry of Justice, Carabineer Troops Department, and Border Police are studying the security techniques of ammunition transportation, anti-inflammatory security in transporting and handling ammunition, as well as fire-fighting actions in case of emergency situations. The participants are trained by a group of National Army service members, who had been previously trained by experts from Switzerland and Germany. The course on safe transportation of ammunition is part of a training project on ammunition and weapons stockpile management organized under the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Defense and OSCE on the implementation of the Complex Program on Small Arms and Light Weapons and conventional weapons in the Republic of Moldova, signed on October 28, 2010. |
