Artillery Division Staff from Ungheni Marks Unit’s Day
CHISINAU, April 22, 2016 — Acting Chief of General Staff, National Army Commander, Brigadier Gen. Igor Cutie, representatives of local public authorities, former commanders and veterans attended today the ceremony dedicated to the 24th anniversary of the Artillery Unit from Ungheni.
During the event, Brigadier Gen. Igor Cutie mentioned the professionalism of the National Army Artillery Unit, highlighting their great achievements in combat training, national and international exercises. “Dear military and civil employees, I ask you to continue to show maximum responsibility and commitment in carrying out your missions”, said the National Army Commander.
On the occasion of the anniversary, as well as for service performances, a group of service members were awarded diplomas of honor.
For the visitors, the unit’s soldiers demonstrated wrestling exercises, practical exercises of the reactive artillery system team, a weapons, equipment, and military vehicles exhibition. Also,musical bands from Ungheni performed for the guests.
The Artillery Unit was established on April 19,1992.
