Minister of Defense Meets with Ambassador of Czech Republic to Chisinau

CHISINAU, June 16, 2016 — Minister of Defense Anatol Salaru met with Ambassador ofCzech Republic to the Republic of Moldova, Zdeněk Krejčí.

The main issues discussed were the current stage of Moldovan-Czech defense relations and the prospects of strengthening the bilateral dialogue between the two armies.

The officials also discussed subjects regarding the regional security, National Army modernization goals, and the adjustment of defense legislation.

Anatol Salaru and Zdeněk Krejčí expressed their conviction that the defense cooperation between Moldova and Czech Republic will intensify and will contribute to the development of a long-lasting partnership.

The Moldovan-Czech defense cooperation is based on the Agreement signed between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldova and the Ministry of Defense of Czech Republic on May 16, 2011, in Prague.
