Moldovan-Russian Meeting at the Ministry of Defense

CHISINAU, June 22, 2016 — The representatives of Defense Policy and Planning Directorate (DPPD) of the Ministry of Defense met today with the Staff members of the military and air attaché of Russian Federation to Chisinau.

The discussions took place at the initiative of the Ministry of Defense and were centered on the illegal actions of enlistment in the Russian Federation Armed Forces, recently noticed on the territory of Moldova.

Thus, the DPPD representatives expressed their discontent and worry regarding the establishment of illegal recruitment points for young men in Ternovca village, Slobozia district, intended to enlist them in military contingents of the Russian Federation. The Ministry of Defense representatives specified that these actions conducted in Transnistria defy the national legislation.
