At the event, Minister of Defense Anatol Salaru congratulated the young lieutenants, highlighting the importance of military studies for a career as officer in the National Army. “The Academy was the first step and the most important one in your life. You learned how to handle a weapon, how to think and act, how to help each other and to build the character of a soldier and responsible Moldovan citizen. Try to be the best, to apply for courses in Europe and the USA, to participate in different international missions, so you parents, friends, the army and the entire society could be proud of you”, said Anatol Salaru.

The Minister of Defense also congratulated the seven young women who graduated the Military Academy. “You had the courage to defy stereotypes, to prove that the wonderful career in the military is not only for men. The performance recorded by women today within the Ministry of Defense show that women are as good as men in the military profession”, mentioned Minister Salaru.
