Rehearsal for the Independence Day Military Parade (Video)

CHISINAU, July 18, 2016 — Over 1,700 service members from the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Security and Intelligence Service (SIS), State Protection and Guard Service (SPGS) attended today the first joint rehearsal for the military parade that is to take place on Marii Adunari Nationale Square on August 27, 2016, marking the 25th anniversary since the Republic of Moldova declared its independence.

According to interim National Army Commander, Brigadier Gen. Igor Cutie, the rehearsal is an important element in the organization of the parade and aims to unify the formations involved in the activity. The parade of August 27 will bring together over 2,200 service members from the National Army, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, SIS, SPGS, as well as 70 participants in the 1992war. Soldiers from other countries were also invited to participate in the military parade.

The source specified that 29 HMMWVs of the National Army and MIA will be presented during the military parade.

The trainings of the military units will be held weekly (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) under the bridge on Hancesti str., Telecentru district. The rehearsal with vehicles will be held on M3 route, Chisinau-Bacioi.
