Anatol Salaru and Dacian Ciolos – Official Meeting in BucharestCHISINAU, December 2, 2016 — Minister of Defense Anatol Salaru had an official meeting with Romanian Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos in Bucharest. The talks regarded the Moldovan-Romanian security and defense relationship, as well as the regional situation. Anatol Salaru thanked the Romanian Prime Minister for the support offered by the Romanian Government in the process of the National Army reformation and modernization. The Minister of Defense reiterated that Romania remains a strategic partner of the Republic of Moldova. Dacian Ciolos appreciated the efforts of the National Army to become interoperable with the armies of NATO members and partners. The Romanian Premier also confirmed the availability to support and strengthen the bilateral defense cooperation. The meeting was held while Minister of Defense Anatol Salaru was attending the Military Parade on December 1, at the invitation of President of Romania Klaus Iohannis.
