Military Attaché of United Kingdom Ends His Mandate in ChisinauCHISINAU, March 23, 2017 — Defense attaché of United Kingdom in the Republic of Moldova, based in Bucharest, LTC Tim Bakewell, received today the medal “For Strengthening the Brotherhood in Arms”. The medal was awarded by Chief of General Staff, National Army Commander, Brigadier Gen. Igor Cutie, for personal contribution to reinforcing the Moldovan-British defense cooperation and for the end of LTC Bakewell’s mandate. Gen. Cutie thanked LTC Bakewell for the efforts aiming to consolidate the bilateral defense cooperation, with a focus on the assistance and expertise offered by the British Government. The National Army Commander also appreciated the participation of a group of service members from the Royal Irish Regiment to the military parade organized last year in Chisinau, on the occasion of Moldova’s Independence Day. LTC Tim Bakewell stated that it was a privilege for him to be the military attaché in our country. The official expressed his conviction that the Moldovan-British relations will continue to evolve through new initiatives and mutually beneficial cooperation opportunities. |
