The Joint Moldovan-Romanian Defense Committee Meets in ChisinauCHISINAU, April 27, 2017 — Representatives of defense institutions of the Republic of Moldova and Romania, responsible for the sectors of defense policies, strategic planning, logistics, and international cooperation, attended the meeting of the Joint Moldovan-Romanian Defense Committee, held within April According to Chief of Defense Policy and Planning General Directorate, Col. Alexandru Harea, the meeting’s agenda included subjects concerning the latest developments in the regional situation, assistance and support programs, and the defense sector reformation, with a focus on the results of 2016 and prospects for 2017. The meetings of the Joint Moldovan-Romanian Defense Committee are held yearly, based on parity, in compliance with article 5 of the Agreements between Government of the Republic of Moldova and Government of Romania on the military cooperation signed on April 20, 2012, in Chisinau.
