Commander Neville McNally Is the New British Attaché in the Republic of Moldova



CHISINAU, May 10, 2017 — State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, Aurel Fondos, met with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Chisinau, Lucy Joyce, today, at the defense institution’s HQ.

The two officials discussed the current stage of the bilateral military relations, as well as the cooperation prospect of the two armies.

Lucy Joyce was accompanied by the new defense attaché of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the Republic of Moldova based in Bucharest, Commander Neville McNally.

Aurel Fondos congratulated Commander McNally on his appointment and expressed the conviction that the new military attaché will contribute to reinforce the Moldovan-British cooperation by identifying and implementing joint projects in the defense sector.

Commander McNally stated that is a privilege for him to be appointed as military attaché in the Republic of Moldova, and that his country’s army will continue to call for an efficient partnership with the National Army.

The Moldovan-British military cooperation was established in 1999.
