Moldovan-Romanian Interoperability Tested at “JCET-2017” Exercise



CHISINAU, June 29, 2017 — The service members from Special Forces of the National Army and Romanian Army, who are participating in the exercise “Joint Combined Exchange Training — 2017” (JCET), conducted today practical actions within the Distinguished Visitors Day, at the National Army Military training base.

The event was attended by officials from the Ministry of Defense and General Staff, National Army Commanding Officer Corps, ambassadors, and military attaches to our country.

According to interim Commander of Special Forces Battalion “Fulger” (SFB), LTC Veaceslav Balan, about 70 service members from National Army Special Forces, Special Operations Forces of the Romanian Army carried out shooting drills and field training exercises. The Moldovan and Romanian service members also exhibited their weapons and vehicles, as well as the way of cooking in isolated conditions.

JCET-2017 is held within June 5-30, 2017 and aims to increase the interoperability between Moldovan and Romanian special forces.

The service members from the National Army Special Forces have been participating in JCET since 2009.
