Centenary of the Moldovan Military Congress Marked in ChisinauCHISINAU, October 26, 2017 — The Center of Military History and Culture is hosting the International Scientific Conference “100 Years since the Moldovan Military Congress: October According to chief of the Center of Military History and Culture, Col. ® Vitalie Ciobanu, the event is attended by scientific researchers and academicians from Poland, Romania, Ukraine, and the Republic of Moldova. The main subjects discussed during the Conference regard the Moldovan Military Congress, the National Movement in Bessarabia, as well as the Development of the situation in Bessarabia and Russia in historiography and memories. The source mentioned that the activity also includes a book launch and a photography exhibition. Thus, Dr. Mihail Tasca and Gheorghe Vartic presented their books “Congresul Militarilor Moldoveni: On the occasion of the centenary of the Moldovan Military Congress, a Te Deum was performed at the Central Orthodox Cemetery from Armeneasca street and the participants laid flowers at the graves of Bessarabian soldiers who participated in World War I and the Military Congress. The event is organized with the support of the Ministry of Defense, Romanian Cultural Institute “Mihai Eminescu”, Institute for Political Studies of Defense and Military History (Bucharest), Military Academy of Armed Forces “Alexandru cel Bun”, as well as the Institute of History and the Institute for Legal and Political Research of the Academy of Science of Moldova. |
