Army’s Medical Staff Celebrates Professional Day

CHISINAU, June 15, 2018 — The Medical Staff and Pharmacists’ Day was celebrated today at the Ministry of Defense during a ceremony attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the National Army General Staff.

On this occasion, Minister Eugen Sturza congratulated the military and civilian medical staff and awarded National Army medals and honor diplomas to a group of employees of the defense institution’s medical facilities.

Eugen Sturza thanked the doctors, nurses, and all those who work in the army’s hospitals, medical centers, and military units for conducting their activity with responsibility and care for the patients.

“You have a very noble profession, a profession representing a challenge that many of us would not be able to face. Because, from my point of view, nothing is more valuable than a person’s health and life and you are chosen to guard our health and sometimes to perform miracles”, said the Minister of Defense.

About 300 health care employees are serving in the National Army.

The Medical staff and Pharmacists Day was established by Presidential Decree in 1994 and is celebrated every year, on the third Sunday of June.
