Minister of Defense Pays Official Visit to PolandCHISINAU, September 4, 2018 — Minister of Defense, Eugen Sturza, is paying a visit to Poland within September On Tuesday, September 4, the two officials talked about the bilateral defense cooperation in Kielce. Eugen Sturza appreciated the Polish Government’s contribution to the implementation of the NATO/PfP Project on the disposal of dangerous pesticides and chemicals in the Republic of Moldova and mentioned that over 3,000 tons of chemical waste was evacuated and destroyed at SARPI Dabrowa Gornicza incinerator from Poland. Eugen Sturza also thanked the Polish Government for the scholarships offered to National Army officers and NCOs for studies in military educational institutions in Poland. While in Poland, the Minister of Defense will visit the 26th International Defense Industry Exhibition MSPO that is organized in Kielce. MSPO is one of the most important defense industry exhibitions in Central Europe that brings together representatives of specialized companies from 30 countries including USA, Austria, Belgium, China, France, Spain, Israel, Japan, Canada, Germany, Norway, South Africa, Turkey, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and Italy. The event includes presentations of the latest military vehicles and armaments, modern technologies and systems used in the security and logistics sector and seminars and conferences presenting the latest achievements of the defense industry. |
