Military Attaches Visit “Dacia” Brigade



CHISINAU, September 19, 2018 — Today, the defense attaches appointed to the Republic of Moldova paid a fact-finding visit to “Dacia” Brigade stationed in Cahul city.

During the visit, the 23 military diplomats from Belarus, Czechia, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, USA, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, and the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova familiarized themselves with the Brigade’s structure, role and missions, the training objectives for this year, and the external activities that will involve the unit’s conscripts and contract-based staff.

The attaches also observed “Dacia” Brigade’s infrastructure, military vehicles, and weaponry.

According to chief of Strategic Planning Directorate of the General Staff, Col. Sergiu Vicol, the visit was conducted at the request of the military attaches corps and had the goal to strengthen the bilateral military relationships.

This year, the defense attaches appointed to our country paid similar visits to three National Army units.
