Minister of Defense Eugen Sturza decorated a group of the Battalion’s soldiers with National Army medals and awarded diplomas for service performances.

“One of the objectives I have set when I arrived at the Ministry of Defense was to make every effort in order for our special forces to be one of the top special intervention units from the Republic of Moldova. Today, I observe with pride that we have reached this objective. I wish for the entire National Army to be aligned with your standards and for you, dear service members of ‘Fulger’ Battalion, to be an example of professionalization of the defense institution,” said Eugen Sturza.

Commander of SFB, LTC Ion Ojog, referred to the unit’s main missions and activities of 2018 and mentioned that the unit has set the objectives that would contribute to the improvement of the soldiers’ level of training and the increment of interoperability with similar subdivisions from partner states.
