National Army Service Members Donate BloodCHISINAU, April 10, 2019 — National Army service members have donated blood at three collecting centers from Chisinau, Balti, and Cahul garrisons. According to chief of the Military Medical Directorate, LTC Sergiu Cirlan, the action was organized by Ministry of Defense, in cooperation with the National Center for Blood Transfusion, in order to replenish the blood banks, including those of the National Army. The source mentioned that over 250 soldiers from Ministry of Defense, General Staff, “Moldova”, “Stefan cel Mare”, and “Dacia” Brigades, and the units of Military Compound 142 have voluntarily donated blood. Last year, over 1,300 military and civilian employees of the National Army donated blood within campaigns organized together with specialized institutions from our country.
