Service Members of KFOR-10 Contingent Decorated by Minister of DefenseCHISINAU, June 17, 2019 — National Army contingent KFOR-10 ended its mission and returned home. On this occasion, the Ministry of Defense organized a ceremony during which the peacekeepers were decorated with Government Diplomas and National Army medals. During the festivity, Minister of Defense Pavel Voicu appreciated the performance of the 41 service members during their 6 months in KFOR and specified that by conducting their mission, they proved that the National Army has well-grounded service members who are trained in compliance with western standards. “Dear service members, you have gained the respect of the people from Kosovo and of the international community. This is due to you fulfilling your mission with honor, commitment, responsibility, and professionalism,” said Pavel Voicu. The KFOR-10 contingent was deployed to Kosovo during December, 2018 — June, 2019 and it consisted of 41 professional service members out of whom one staff officer, seven EOD engineers, and a platoon of 33 service members.
