UN Women Representative for the Republic of Moldova Decorated with the Medal “For Cooperation”
CHISINAU, June 24, 2019 — UN Women Country Representative for Moldova, Ulziisuren Jamsran, was decorated today with the medal “For Cooperation” at the Ministry of Defense.
The medal was awarded by Minister of Defense Pavel Voicu as a sign of appreciation for the contribution to the development of cooperation relations between the defense institution and UN Women in the Republic of Moldova and on the occasion of the end of mandate.
During the ceremony, Pavel Voicu stated that Ulziisuren Jamsran has personally promoted the equal opportunities in the defense and security sector of our country and the activities conducted in the framework of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 “Women, Peace and Security”.
The Minister of Defense thanked the UN Women Country Representative for Moldova for the support offered in developing, promoting, and implementing the main policy documents on gender equality, training the military and civilian staff, organizing and conducting campaigns for the promotion of military women, as well as for the assistance in launching the National Army Women’s Association.
Ulziisuren Jamsran mentioned that it has been an honor to represent UN Women in the Republic of Moldova and to cooperate with the Ministry of Defense in order to promote the “Women, Peace and Security” agenda.
