Training Parachute Jumps in Marculesti
CHISINAU, August 5, 2019 — The service members of National Army Special Forces carried out training parachute jumps at “Decebal” Air Regiment from Marculesti.
According to Commander of Special Forces Battalion “Fulger” (SFB), LTC Ion Ojog, the soldiers conducted static line parachute jumps while carrying their weapons and equipment. The jumps have been conducted from the AN-2 aircraft, at the altitude of 350 m, using MC-6 and T-11R parachute systems.
LTC Ojog added that the training jumps are part of the Training Plan of SFB for 2019 and have the objective to develop the unit’s operational capacities regarding parachuting as a method of insertion and to build capabilities for performing special missions.
