The problems of the veterans of the War for the Independence of the Republic of Moldova have got the attention of the Minister of Defense

CHISINAU, August 15, 2019- The Minister of Defense, Pavel Voicu, had a meeting with a group of representatives of the Public Association "The Union of Veterans of War for the Independence of the Republic of Moldova".

The parties discussed the work of the institution’s 35 branches, their mission and work, as well as the problems faced by veterans who fought in the 1992 Dniester War.

Minister Voicu and the group of veterans that were present at the meeting called for closer collaboration in this field, with an emphasis on promoting patriotic values among the younger generation and the social protection of those who fought for the independence and integrity of our country.

In the end, it was agreed to streamline the communication between the Ministry of Defense and the Union of War Veterans for the Independence of the Republic of Moldova, by concluding a possible cooperation agreement in this regard.
