Moldovan soldiers train at the multinational exercise "Platinum Eagle 2019"
CHISINAU, September 11, 2019 - A contingent of the National Army is at the Babadag training center in Romania, where it participates in the multinational exercise "Platinum Eagle 2019".
The officers and non-commissioned officers, led by Major Valeriu Popov, are training with soldiers from Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania, Ukraine and the United States to increase interoperability and prepare for peacekeeping operations.
According to the scenario of the exercise, the 300 participating soldiers carry out first aid missions in the areas of operations, fire from the equipment and exercise command and control procedures at subunit level.
This year, the National Army deployed about 50 officers and non-commissioned officers from the "Stefan Cel Mare" Brigade and students of the "Alexandru cel Bun" Military Academy to the "Platinum Eagle".
It should be mentioned that "Platinum Eagle 2019" takes place between September 9-20 and is part of a large multinational exercise entitled "Black Sea Rotational Force 19" (BSRF 19).
