The staff of the National Army is trained in the "Fortress 2019" exercise
CHISINAU, October 15, 2019 - A contingent of soldiers of the National Army participates, between October 9-18, in the multinational exercise of communications and informatics (CISEX) "Cetatea 2019", which takes place in Romania.
According to Lieutenant-Colonel Ion Strisca from the Communications and Informatics Directorate of the General Staff of the National Army, the purpose of the activity is to test the operating capacity of communications and informatics systems, command and control, for their use in the operational environment during operations and common missions.
Officers and non-commissioned officers from the communications and informatics subdivisions of the National Army, together with soldiers from Bulgaria, Italy, Poland and Romania, train to test their ability to monitor, detect, respond to cyber-attacks and study procedures for managing and responding to incidents cyber security.
At the same time, the military tests the long-distance radio communications between the localities included in the scenario.
